PRODUCT AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

Shannon's on-going research program for inhibitor development incorporates different raw and finished water chemical characteristics as well as the changing regulations to assure a complete effective product line.

SHAN-NO-CORR was the first granular zinc metaphosphate introduced to the water works industry in 1971. This product continues to provide effective compliance for numerous water systems nationwide. Shannon also developed the first non-zinc blended orthophosphate solution in 1988. This effective inhibitor, SLI-1226, produced the lowest lead levels in the state of Virginia and is successfully used by one of the largest utilities in the nation to achieve compliance.
